Around Penetrations

You can use Aestuver fireproof sealant around pipes, cables, and ducts that penetrate fire-rated structures, ensuring that these openings do not compromise fire safety. There are numerous MEP services that go through the fire boards. Tight fitting cut-out is nearly impossible and also not advisable. Therefore, the cut-outs within the fire boards are usually slightly larger than the penetrating elements. Any gaps between the fire boards and MEP equipment are filled with fireproof mastic.
