Electrical fire-protection

James Hardie® offers holistic solutions for preventive structural fire protection. That is why fire protection products in form of systems are also part of the range.
In the event of a fire, cable systems can be damaged, resulting not only in dense smoke damage but also in highly toxic gases. Within a few minutes, escape and rescue routes can become a deadly trap. In addition, the work of the emergency services is made more difficult or even impossible.

Aestuver® offers the following solutions to ensure that manufacturers of components and systems also meet the high fire protection requirements in this case:
 

 

 

Fire protection ducts for encapsulating the fire load (I-ducts).

Aestuver® installation channels prevent fire from spreading from the inside to the outside and protect surrounding rooms such as escape and rescue routes (fire load containment). A spread to e.g. ceiling cavities is prevented. These cable ducts are tested according to DIN 4102-11.

Fire protection cable trunking for function maintenance (E-trunking)

Aestuver® fire protection cable ducts for function maintenance ensure that in the event of a fire, no fire penetrates the duct from the outside and the temperatures inside remain low. This ensures that no short circuit occurs or the power supply is interrupted. These cable ducts are tested according to DIN 4102-12.

The AESTUVER™ ABL combination bulkhead enables single or joint penetration of electrical cables as well as combustible and non-combustible pipes through solid ceilings, solid walls and lightweight partition walls. As a penetration seal of fire resistance class S 90 according to DIN 4102, Part 9, it prevents the transmission of fire and smoke for a duration of 90 minutes.
